Lulu levels fresh charges against Dasburma

Bhubaneswar: Waging his relentless attack on his arch-rival and BJD leader and Food Supply and Consumer Welfare minister Sanjay Dasburma, senior Congress leader Lalatendu (Lulu) Bidyadhar Mahapatra on Sunday levelled fresh charges against him.

Briefing media persons here, Mahapatra alleged that the Nilachal Builders, which is in the name of Dasburma, has constructed apartments illegally. The proprietor of this real estate company is the brother-in-law of the BJD minister, he added.

He further said the state government, which has not taken against the concerned minister despite being aware of this, will not take any action against him.

The Congress leader also said how come the BJD supremo has made Dasburma a minister as he is one of the members of the Board of Directors of Barpada Engineering College.

He also demanded a CBI probe into the massive irregularities in the procurement of paddy in Bargarh district in which the minister and his department staffs are involved.

Reacting to the allegation of Mahapatra, BJD spokesperson Sashi Bhusan Behera said Dasburma has already given his statement to the media.

He, however, said if there is any specific allegation against the minister, there will be investigation and the state government will not hesitate to take action against him.
