Love in time of social media! Troubled girls lodge complaint with CP

Bhubaneswar:  After being duped by a conman, two girls in Bhubaneswar have now knocked the doors of Commissionerate Police seeking justice.

According to reports, both the girls reportedly had met one  Subhankhar, a government servant, after knowing each other through a social networking website.

After befriending the girls, Subhankar used to take them on various trips, spike their drinks, allegedly sexually exploit them and photograph the act. Not only these two girls, Subhankar also played these tricks with many others.

Whenever Subhankar’s targets suspected him, he used to marry them in temples to win their trust.

“I was into a relationship with the youth for the last two years. Using the photographs, he started to threaten me,” said one of the girls.

The entire game plan of Subhankar was busted after one of the girls spotted some of his intimate pictures with another girl on Facebook.

Both the girls, with assistance from a voluntary organization, have now lodged a complaint against the youth after he started threatening to defame them by uploading their personal photographs on social media.

“The youth is a fraudster and has cheated a number of girls,” said advocate of Friends Foundation, a voluntary group.

Sources said, not only these two girls but it is learnt that the youth has cheated a number of other women after making them fall prey to his tricks.

“An inspector rank officer is investigating the case. The statements of girls have been recorded and further probe is on,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrat Bhoi.
