Loot from Otv scribe: three held, 4 bikes seized

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police today arrested three looters, including gang head Artatrana Bhoi in connection with the loot incident, where a youth scribe of Otv was robbed of his valuables including a bike and a mobile phone at gunpoint at Hansupal here on Saturday evening.

The police also seized four stolen bikes from their possessions.

Notably, scribe Bikram Keshari Jena was looted of his bike and other valuables by two bike-borne looters near the Honda showroom on NH-5 at Hansupal on Saturday evening. The two miscreants came on a CBZ bike and intercepted Jena while he was returning home from Pahal on his Yamaha R15 bike. When Jena stopped his bike, one of the two looters came close to him and asked to handover all valuables and his bike by brandishing pistol. When the scribe resisted, they threatened to kill him, following which Jena handed over his bike, gold chain, ring, wallet and mobile. Soon after that, the looters fled from the spot.

Police had started investigation after Jena lodged an FIR at the Balianta police station.
