Locals’ torch car for injuring 3 of a family in Dumduma

Bhubaneswar: A car was torched by irate locals near Dumduma Durga Mandap under Khandagiri police limits here late yesterday night after it hit a bike, injuring three of a family.

According to sources, Mohammad Sahadin Ali of Dumduma along with his wife and six-years-old daughter were going somewhere on a bike when the car hit them near the Durga Mandap.

All of them were injured and rushed to hospital. The driver of the car was also injured in the incident.

Locals torched the vehicle alleging the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. The situation came under control after Khandagiri police intervened and started an investigation into the matter.
