LK Advani is most deserving presidential candidate: Shatrughan Sinha

Bhubaneswar: Lal Krishna Advani is the most deserving presidential candidate, said actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha during his visit to Odisha to attend an event organised by Parichay Foundation here on Saturday.

The Babri Masjid demolition case should not be a hurdle for Advani to become the President of India, said Sinha to OTV, after attending the event.

"Advani is highly experienced, a great statesman and most deserving person, he is not just a leader but a leader par excellence present among us. There are many leaders, politicians and former presidents whose names were involved in one or other case. The law will take its own course but still the guilt has not been proved," he added.

Sinha also explained about his discussion with Superstar Rajnikanth on the latter joining politics. He said, "I had suggested Rajnikanth as a friend not to join any other political party but to start one of his own, but I have still not received any green signal from him."

Sinha paid his respect to former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik saying he has seen Odisha through the eyes of the legendary leader and he is still grateful to his family.
