Bhubaneswar: Eminent litterateur and linguist Dr Khageswar Mahapatra passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at a privately-run hospital here.
He was director of the Odisha Tribal Museum and had been a faculty member of Odia department at Visva Bharati, Santiniketan.
Mahapatra was also honoured with several awards including one by the Odisha Sahitya Akademi earlier.
