Bhadrak: The tense Bhadrak town slowly returns to normalcy today with the curfew imposed by the district administration being relaxed from 7 am to 4 pm.

Educational institutions especially schools have been allowed to remain open from 8 am to 10.30 am.

Besides, the 48-hr restrictions imposed by the State government on the use of social media sites and internet services has been lifted since Tuesday evening.

Bus services, which were suspended from the Bhadrak town following the unrest, resumed to different parts of the district including Chandabali, Banta and Dhamnagar.

Banks, educational institutions and government offices have also been opened.

Residents were also able to purchase groceries and vegetables as shops were kept open.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to reach Bhadrak town to take stock of the situation today. He will also hold a review meeting at the Collectorate Office.

Senior Congress leaders Niranjan Patnaik and Anant Sethi are also visiting Bhadrak today.
