Lawyer murdered by unknown miscreants in Puri

Puri: A lawyer was killed by unidentified miscreants who attacked him near the Hospital Square in Puri on Wednesday evening.

The deceased, identified as Laxmidhara Mohapatra was attacked while refueling his vehicle at a petrol pump at the Hospital Square.

With critical injuries Mohapatra was admitted to the Puri hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar late last night where doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, the Puri Lawyers' Association claimed the miscreants attacked Mohapatra after a proper planning as the street light at the spot went off for few minutes during the incident.
