Khurda: Tension prevailed after body of a lady teacher was recovered from an agricultural field at Nirakarpur in Khurda district on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Anjali Dehury.

It is suspected that Anjali was brutally beaten to death as her face has been severely disfigured and a bamboo plank was found lying near the spot.

Though the exact reason behind the murder of the school teacher is yet to be ascertained, police have started a probe into the incident.

According to reports, Anjali was working as a teacher at Haripur Primary School and used to take the agricultural field to go to her school from her house at Badapokharia.
