Cuttack: After landing in soup over ‘kneel punishment’ in Baripada Reserve Inspector Ashok Sethi has now been accused of attempting to rape a lady constable posted in Railway Superintendent of Police's office in Cuttack.

According to sources, the lady constable has brought ‘attempt to rape’ charges against Sethi and another staff and lodged a complaint against the duo with Government Railway Police (GRP) here.

As per the complaint, Sethi and another staff had entered the complainant’s house forcefully, misbehaved and threatened her with life on August 26.

“They barged into my house and misbehaved with me. I want justice against such atrocity by superiors,” said the complainant lady constable.

Basing on the FIR, a case has been registered while appropriate action would be taken after a detailed investigation into the matter including medical examination of the complainant, Railway SP Sanjay Kaushal said.
