Labourer killed in accident at paper factory in Cuttack

Cuttack: A labourer was killed while two others were injured in an accident at a paper manufacturing factory, Cosboard Industries Limited located in Jagatpur Industrial Estate in Cuttack today.

According to sources, the labourer died after a machine in the factory fell on him.

"We got information about the accident in the night. Some of his fellow workers had admitted him to SCB medical. We reached the hospital at 6 am and he breathed his last. Company officials’ negligence was the reason behind the death," said deceased’s brother Bijendra Pratap Sahu.

Meanwhile, the injured persons are undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
