Kunduli suicide: BJP youth wing to launch 'Beti Bachao, Naveen Hatao' stir

Bhubaneswar: The BJP Yuva Morcha will launch a state-wide 'Beti Bachao, Naveen Hatao' agitation from tomorrow protesting the suicide of the Kunduli gang rape victim.

As a part of the agitation the members of the youth wing of the saffron party will stage demonstrations in front of SP offices across the State.

“Until Chief Minister Naveen is dethroned, we will continue our agitation," said Tankadhara Tripathy, president of the State BJP Yuva Morcha.

The Chief Minister is responsible for the Kunduli minor girl’s suicide, he added.

On the other hand, members of the BJP Mahila Morcha, protesting the suicide of Kunduli gang rape victim showed black flags to Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Usha Devi during her visit to Angul today.

Police detained five members of the BJP Mahila Morcha for showing black flags to the minister and shouting slogans against the State government.

On Thursday, the State BJP Mahila Morcha held a ‘funeral rally (Kokei Sobhajatra)’ in Bhubaneswar over Kunduli suicide.

It plans to organise the funeral rally in party’s 1,000 rural and urban mandals across the State over a period of 11 days.
