Bhubaneswar: Protesting the suicide of the Kunduli gang rape victim, the youth wing of the State BJP, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), will today gherao all the SP offices across the State and stage demonstration. It will also launch a state-wide ‘Beti Bachao, Naveen Hatao’ agitation from today.
"Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is responsible for the Kunduli minor girl’s suicide. We will continue our fight for justice to the victim," said Tankadhara Tripathy, president of the State BJP Yuva Morcha.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, BJP's national general secretary and Odisha in-charge, Arun Singh said, "It is unfortunate that the ruling BJD government failed to provide justice to the Kunduli victim."
The BJP will fight for the people of the State and continue its agitation against the ‘inefficient’ Naveen government till the Kunduli girl gets justice, said Singh, adding, "People have completely lost their faith on Naveen Patnaik and are ready to throw away the 'insensitive' BJD government from power.
Earlier, the Mahila Morcha of the saffron party had carried out a funeral rally (Kokei Sobhajatra) here on Thursday protesting the Kunduli suicide. Besides, the party has plans to organise such rallies in its 1,000 rural and urban mandals across the state over a period of 11 days.
