Bhubaneswar: In a major development, the woman who was earlier seen with deceased Unmay Padhi in a viral sex video clip, today approached the Crime Branch urging them to delete the video that is allegedly being circulated by people.
The woman requested the cyber cell of the Crime Branch to damage the video completely and demanded to figure out the persons responsible and punish them who are circulating those sex videos even now.
The woman along with one of her friends was earlier detained and interrogated by cops while the duo was trying to escape to Kolkata.
Earlier, Unmay Padhi’s half-burnt body was recovered from Kuakhai riverbed here in Bhubaneswar on March 21.
The family had suspected that Padhi was murdered over a sex video clip that had gone viral in 2017 following which senior police officials expedited the probe to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder.
As per the post-mortem report of Unmay, police sources said that he was brutally attacked and stabbed before being burnt alive. This apart, police suspect involvement of more than one person in the crime as there were multiple injuries on his head and stomach.
Exactly a year ago, an obscene video had gone viral on social media in which Unmay and a woman from Chandbali were seen together. Unmay was even arrested by the Kharavela Nagar police later.
