Kolab tragedy: CM Naveen announces Rs 4L ex-gratia

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday condoled the death of four kids who drowned in Kolab Reservoir near Lamtaput in Koraput district and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for kin of the deceased.

A press release issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said, "CM Naveen expressed grief over drowning incident of four children in river Kolab and announced ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for nearest of kin of deceased."

On Monday, four kids including two siblings died while taking bath in Kolab Reservoir here near Lamptaput. The children, all in the age group below nine years, are residents of Parjakhudbi village.

The deceased children were identified as siblings Susant Bhoi and Laxmi Bhoi, Sanjay Bhoi and Sabita Bhoi.
