Killer sting: 3 of a family dead in wasp attack

Bhawanipatna: Tragedy struck Tebhakalam village in Thuamul Rampur of Kalahandi district in an unexpected way where three persons of a family were killed and two others injured in a wasp attack today.

According to sources, a villager Somabaru Parobhoi had visited the nearby forest along with family for farming purpose when they were attacked by a swarm of wasps.

Somabaru's mother, his son and daughter died on the spot while Somabaru and his wife Patmati were admitted to Thuamul Rampur Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition.
