Keonjhar VLW in Vigilance net

Keonjhar: Vigilance sleuths on Saturday conducted simultaneous raids at houses of Soubhagya Rout, a village level worker (VLW) of Balabhadrapur gram panchayat under Ghatagaon block in the district, on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Reports said, the anti-corruption officials raided Rout’s house at Keonjhar and two of his ancestral residence in Telakoi and Kardanga, simultaneously.

During the raid, the Vigilance team has laid its hands on some incriminating documents and bank passbooks in the name of Rout, sources said.

The raid was conducted on the basis of a search warrant issued by special Vigilance judge of Keonjhar.
