Bargarh: In yet another instance of kangaroo court justice in Odisha, a family of Ghens village under Melchamunda police limits in the district was beaten up and ostracised for alleged irregularities of funds.

The incident came to light after the members of the affected family met the Deputy Superintendent of Police and narrated their ordeal.

As per the complaint filed by the family, some villagers entered their house and beat them up blaming embezzlement in the village committee fund. Later, they ostracised the family and threatened to penalise if anyone works at their house.
