The bandh has paralysed normal traffic in the town besides shops and business establishments remaining closed.

"The sub-collector and officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had assured us to fulfill all our demands. It has been more than a week, but the administration is yet to act on it," said Kamakhyanagar NAC chairman Dharmanand Parida. So, we have resorted to bandh again; we have blocked the NH, and closed all government offices, educational institutions and business houses," Parida added.
