Jajpur: The 4th Kalinga International Buddhist Conclave, jointly organised by the State Tourism Department, Odisha Institute of Maritime and South East Asian Studies and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), got underway at the Toshali Sammilani Kendra at Udaygiri in Jajpur district on Monday.

The three- day event was inaugurated by Industries and School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra. Tourism secretary Arati Ahuja was also present in the conference.

More than 200 representatives from various countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam, Nepal and Srilanka, besides India, have participated in the conclave. The concluding ceremony would be organised in Bhubaneswar on April 12.
