Jumbo menace in Keonjhar, six houses damaged

Keonjhar: A herd of 19 wild jumbos have extensively damaged six houses and few acres of crops in villages under Champua range of Keonjhar district today.

According to sources, since yesterday, herd of jumbos have triggered tension in the range here. Bardhama, Paudiposya and Niundi are the few villages which are reportedly under the threat of the elephants.

Meanwhile, forest officials have launched operations to drive away the elephants.
