Rourkela: The CBI, which had arrested Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Executive Director (Works) BP Burma yesterday on graft charges, today found gold ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh and Rs 6.5 lakh worth of diamond jewellery from his bank locker. Besides, two Titan luxury watches were also found from the locker.

A six-member team of CBI sleuths traced the ornaments from a locker of the State Bank of India (SBI)’s Sector-19 branch in the steel city.

Yesterday, CBI had traced 29.15 lakh worth of cash the joint account of Burma and his wife.

On January 9, Burma was arrested on the allegation of accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a contractor to pass a tender.
