Puri: A day after the reported disturbances during Hati Besha ritual of the deities, the Sri Jagannath Temple administration (SJTA) today said it will  inspect the CCTV footage of the ritual to find out facts.

"If anyone is found to have violated guidelines, action would taken against him accordingly", SJTA official said.

Some servitors were allegedly found tearing off the attire of the Trinity on the (Snana Mandap) bathing platform, which was put on the deities for Hati Besha ritual. The scene drew sharp criticism from devotees while priests' association termed it as normal practice.

"No indiscipline occurred during the rituals yesterday. Usually, servitors take off the attire in this way. The parts of the attire are distributed among the servitors which are then offered to other goddesses", said Binayak Das Mohapatra, assistant secretary of Daitapati Niyog.
