Bhubaneswar: Angry over the alleged fraud by Hi-Tech Group, investors today gheraoed Tirupati Choudhary, a top official of the company, demanding flats for which the company has taken money from them.

Investors shouted slogans in front of Hi-Tech Group office and then gheraoed Choudhary, making him sit on the floor and encircling him.

“There have been no mistakes at our end. After December 2012, construction activity has declined considerably. But I have carried out construction for 2-3 months. We have not collected any money from the investors after December 2012,” said Choudhary.

While reading out the MoU made by Hi-Tech officials to provide the said flats, an investor said “They have agreed to provide the A1, A2 category houses by June 30, 2016; B1 & B2 by September 30, 2016; A3, A4, B3 and B4 by March 2017 and rest of the flats by June 2017.”

While investors raised doubts about the deadline for handing over of possession of flats being met, Choudhary assured them that they will be able to provide the houses as per the agreed deadlines.
