IPL betting: 3 arrested, Rs 2.4L seized in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: The Barbil police arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in IPL betting in Keonjhar district last night.

Acting on a tip off, police conducted a raid and arrested the trio from a hardware shop near Tarini temple here. The cops also seized Rs 2.4 lakh cash and seven mobile phones from their possession.

The police arrested them when the final match between Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians was going on. However, two others managed to flee.

Search is on to nab the absconders, police said.
