IOCL security guard dies under mysterious circumstances

Paradip: Tension prevailed in Paradip Refinery as Samagola villagers burnt tyres and blocked the road after a security guard of IOCL was found dead under mysterious circumstances here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Nityananda Parida.

Irate over the incident, the villagers burnt tyres and kept the body of the deceased outside Gate No- 4 of the company demanding compensation and an investigation into the sudden death of the security guard.

However, they were allegedly meted out with misbehavior by IOCL authorities.

Meanwhile, police reached the spot, pacified the villagers and began investigation into the incident.

"The body lying in the IOCL hospital has been sent for post mortem. Further investigation is on," said a police official.
