Inter-state truck looters’ gang busted; 4 held

Cuttack: The Choudwar Police arrested four members, including the leader of an inter-state truck looters's gang near a petrol pump at Chandikhol today.

Besides stolen trucks, the cops seized chrome worth Rs 12 lakh, fake number plates, RC books and driving licenses from the possessions of the accused.

Sources said a truck from the Choudwar-based Maa Mangala Transport was going to Andhra Pradesh after loading the chrome from the Choudwar Imfa plant. As the truck did not reach Andra Pradesh on time, a complaint was filed at the Choudwar police station.

Later, police investigated into the matter and nabbed the looters.
