Bhubaneswar: Continuing with its trend to promote entrepreneurship the high-tech way, Odisha government has launched a webportal for the startups here on Monday.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the portal that aims at “promoting ease of doing business for budding entrepreneurs and creating an ecosystem for startups in the state.”

The startup portal will act as a one-stop platform for start-ups, incubators and investors for registration and availing benefits under the Odisha Startup Policy, said Patnaik after the launch.

The Chief Minister further said, ‘the portal will act as a catalyst in boosting the startup ecosystem and achieveing Mission-1,000 startups by 2020.

The budding entrepreneurs of Odisha will just have to register themselves atwww.odishastartups.gov.in portal and subsequently know all information about the startup policy, and their application status.

Besides, they can also know about commercial lease agreements, consultancy agreements, lease agreements, employment and non-disclosure agreement through sample tools in the portal.

Under the Odisha Start-up Policy, a financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per month for one year will be given to budding entrepreneurs. Besides, they would also get product development assistance up to Rs 15 lakh and need-based raw material assistance.

Official sources said, a four week training programme for youth of Odisha on entrepreneurship has also been uploaded on the portal.

The aspiring youth entrepreneurs can get all information on identification and assessment, basics of finance, law and business planning, fund raising through six different modules. The online training programme has been developed by UpGrad in association with Invest India.
