Bhubaneswar: Lopamudra Mishra, daughter-in-law of industrialist and Nayagarh Sugar Complex Ltd chairman Trailokya Mishra, today lodged fresh police complaint alleging unidentified youths forcibly entered her paternal house located under Badagada police limits in the city and threatened to kill her as well as family and kidnap her son if she further seeks help from police or media regarding the alleged torture case.

Talking to media persons, Lopamudra said, “At around 8.30 am, five to six people came in two vehicles to my house and forcibly entered the room. The unidentified youth started manhandling me. They tried to kidnap my son. When I resisted, one of them put a knife pointing towards my neck. They used slangs and asked me: ‘Are you Trialokya Mishra?’ If you again speak about Trailokya mishra, Ashamanjari Mishra and Sabyasachi Mishra in media, we would kill you and your family members and kidnap your son. They went back in their vehicles after sitting on the sofa for quite some time.”

Asked about to whom she suspects for this threatening, Lopamudra said, “I will blame my husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law for this.”

She added, “I am brought up with Odia cultures. However, those people do not have any culture values and are talking about wife swapping.”

She added, “He (Sabyasachi Mishra) was involved in sex scandals and has relationship with lots of women. My husband was expecting cooperation in that. When I protested, torture was inflicted on me.”

Expressing her shock at the police inaction despite registering a complaint at Mahila Police Station regarding torture inflicted on her, Lopamudra said, “I don’t understand why no action was taken yet.”

She further stated, “I met Bhubaneswar DCP and will meet him today again. Besides, I met the Badagada IIC and recorded my statements. I expect full cooperation from police. Otherwise, lives of my son as well as me are at risk.”

Meanwhile, Trailokya Mishra and his son Sabyasachi Mishra moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail to evade arrest.
