Konark: The fifth International India Surf Festival has kick started at Ramachandi beach here in Konark today.
According to sources, as many as 250 participants from 15 countries have participated in the international event.
The three-day-long festival which is being jointly organised by Rangers Adventures Foundation, Puri and Surfing Yoga will witness participation of 100 surfers including 30 from overseas countries, sources added.
Stand up pedal competition, Asian Surfing Championship, kite surfing, sea surfing, parasailing, surfing yoga, surfing art, surfing music and surfing film will be showcased at the three-day long event.
Sarthak Sarangi, Puri SP, said, “As people from Argentina, Philippines and many other countries are participating in the event, it will help Odisha to find a place in the international map. This is a great initiative and we hope we will get more participation in the future.”
“I visited the place for the first time and the atmosphere is so amazing,” said a participant.
