Bhubaneswar: Amid apprehension of further crop loss due to low pressure rains, the National Weather Forecasting Centre on Sunday ruled out possibility of rainfall in Odisha till November 15.

As per the latest bulletin released by India Meteorological Department, the low pressure will have no impact on Odisha while heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Earlier, moderate to heavy rainfall forecast between November 15 and 18 due to the effect of a low pressure forming around South-East Bay of Bengal had sparked fear among farmers in Odisha as it would have posed serious threat to paddy crops ready to be harvested in several parts.

Odisha government had also issued advisory for farmers for shifting of harvested crops to safer places.
