Illegal construction of Timan’s aide evicted

Bolangir: The municipality authorities today demolished the illegal construction on the government land encroached upon by Khirod Mishra, a retired school teacher who is also an active member of dreaded criminal Timan Kumbhar gang.

The civic body officials started the eviction drive on the Shantipada primary school campus here in the morning in presence of a magistrate and three platoons of police.

The encroached land was marked by the revenue officials a few days ago. The illegal structure will be fully demolished by the evening, a civic official said.

Dreaded criminal Timan Kumbhar and 11 members of his gang are already behind bars while police hunt is on to nab other 10 members including Khirod Mishra.

Police had issued non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against them in the second phase of the operation ‘Clean Criminal’. Later, police started process for confiscation of their properties and declared them absconder after they failed to nab them.
