Paradip: The Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) has sent a show cause notice to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Paradip Refinery Project alleging it of violating land lease deed and allocation terms and conditions. A reply has been sought from IOCL within 15 days.

The approach road connecting National Highway-5 to IOCL plant site crossing the Kujang road is used by general public for daily commutation. But IOCL is making hindrances for public thoroughfare over the road, IDCO has said.

Talking to OTV, BJD spokesperson Capt Dibya Shankar Mishra said, "IDCO has expressed its concern over the terms and conditions in the lease agreement in public interest. IOCL has to fulfill the terms mentioned in the agreement or IDCO will take appropriate action after receiving IOCL's reply within 15 days."

BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra said, "A particular industrial organisation is signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government with some terms and conditions. If there is any fault in the terms and conditions than action will be taken as per Odisha Government rules, there is no doubt in it."
