Bhubaneswar: The computer training coordinators of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), through their association, have urged the government to regularize their jobs and fulfill a charter of demands. The coordinators, associated with various schools of the state, have been sitting on dharna at the Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar since eight days.

Despite the association’s repeated memoranda to the government, their jobs have not been regularized. According to sources, since last four years the teachers have been enrolled in a 5-year project and are working in different government schools. Apart from teaching computer science, the teachers have also alleged that they are made to take part in other activities of the school.

The coordinators have urged the government to regularize their jobs and fulfill demands that include an increase in salary and a government employee status, before termination of the project.
