Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will declare the results of the High School Certificate (HSC) Supplementary examination on Friday.

According to sources in BSE, the results would be announced at the Board’s headquarters here at 11.30 AM. Besides, the students can get the details of their results on the two websites of the Board— www.bseodisha.ac.in and www.bseodisha.nic.in —from 12.30 pm onwards.

The Supplementary examination was held from June 2 to 8 at 45 centres in all district headquarters.

Besides, the results of the State Institute of Open School (SIOS) examination will also be announced simultaneously today.

About 3, 200 students had applied for the examinations of which 2820 had appeared in the examinations at 17 centres in Angul, Puri, Ganjam, Mayurbhjanj, Cuttack, Kalahandi and Balangir districts held on April 11.

For the first time, the Board had started the SIOS programme from this year to allow Class VII dropout students and students who have failed in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations to appear in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations.

Under the programme, candidates will have nine chances, twice a year, for five years to clear the HSC examinations.
