Cuttack: The results of the High School Certificate (HSC) Supplementary examination will be announced on July 8.

Informing this to the media today, president of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda said the results would be announced at the Board’s headquarters here at 11.30 AM. Besides, the students can get the details of their results on the two websites of the Board— www.bseodisha.ac.in and www.bseodisha.nic.in —from 12 pm onwards.

The Supplementary examination was held from June 2 to 8 at 45 centres in all district headquarters.

Evaluation of answer sheets had begun at five centres on June 20 and concluded on June 22. After the evaluation, the Board authorities had sent the marks online to the result processing firm along with the OMR sheets.

Nanda also informed that the results of the State Institute of Open School (SIOS) examination will also be announced simultaneously on July 8.

About 3, 200 students had applied for the examinations of which 2820 had appeared in the examinations at 17 centres in Angul, Puri, Ganjam, Mayurbhjanj, Cuttack, Kalahandi and Balangir districts held on April 11.

To help these students, the Board, for the first time, had started the SIOS programme from this year to allow Class VII dropout students and students who have failed in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations to appear in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations.

Under the programme, candidates will have nine chances, twice a year, for five years to clear the HSC examinations.
