Hit and run: 2 from WB run over by speeding car, killed

Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, two pedestrians were killed after being hit by a speeding car on NH-5 of the district here on Saturday.

According to sources, the incident occurred in the morning when the two street vendors, reportedly residents of West Bengal, were moving along the NH-5 near Chapolia Chhak, when suddenly a speeding car hit them from behind.

Critically injured, the pedestrians were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where they succumbed to injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Matab Mosin from Murshidabad town under Samsherganj police limits and Mirza Sin from West Midnapore district of West Bengal.

The deceased duo was living in a rented house near Charampa village of Bhadrak district, sources said.

A case of unnatural death has been registered by the Bhadrak Town Police.
