Bhubaneswar: A high-level meeting will be held at the State Secretariat here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary AP Padhi to discuss the State’s plans to tackle naxal menace, ahead of the anti-Maoist strategy meeting of affected states called by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on May 8.

Anti-Maoist operations, demand for deployment of more Central forces in Odisha, telephone services in the red rebel-hit districts and coordination issues with neighbouring States during counter-naxal operations are likely to be discussed in the meeting.

The decision taken at the meeting will be presented at May 8 meeting to be attended by officials of 10 naxal-infested States of the country.
