Bhubaneswar: A high level meeting to take stock of the progress in implementing the Task Force headed by senior bureaucrat Taradutt on the discretionary quota allotment of houses and flats in the Twin City began at the State Secretariat here on Saturday afternoon.

The meeting is being attended by senior officials of the Finance and Urban Development departments, State Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) and Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB).

The meeting, presided over by chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, is discussing the next course of action of the state government as per the report of the aforesaid departments.

Notably, the General Administration (GA) department had asked these departments to submit their report in sealed envelopes by April 11 this year.

In November, 2014, the state cabinet had decided to accept the recommendations of the Taradutt Task Force and cancel all such allotments since 1995.
