Bhubaneswar/Paralakhemundi: Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak today visited the Apollo Hospital in Chennai and enquired about the health condition of Parala Maharaja Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deb, who is admitted there for treatment.

Talking to OTV over phone, the Health Minister said, “As per the Chief Minister’s directive, I talked to the hospital authorities and requested them to ensure the best possible facilities to the Parala Maharaja. Besides, I informed the hospital authorities that the Odisha government will bear all the medical expenses of the king."

The health minister also informed that the Chief Minister talked to the daughter of the king Kalyani Gajapati over phone today.

Meanwhile, after the resignation of the manager of Parala Maharaja Pratisthana Ananga Manjari Patra and the Personal Assistant (PA) of the king Sanjay Patra, no employee of the Parala Palace turned up for duty today.

Residents of Paralakhemundi are praying for the early return of the Parala Maharaja to the palace after a quick recovery.“I pray before the Lord Jagannath for his early return after his health recovery,” a resident of Parala said.

“We wish the king returns to Paralakhemundi as soon as possible,” another resident of Parala said.
