HC rejects bail plea of Sura Baba, son

Cuttack: The Odisha High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail petitions of Sura Mishra alias Sura Baba and his son Trilochan in connection with a land fraud case in Chhatrapur in Ganjam district.

“The accused have played with the religious sentiments of the people and made huge money. Granting bail to these two accused would hamper the investigation now underway, the court observed.

Notably, police had arrested Sura Baba and his son for fraudulently taking possession of a prime piece of land.
