Puri: The Orissa High Court today reprimanded the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) for not specifying the exact date for opening of Srimandir's Jagamohan in the affidavit submitted by the latter.

Although it has been a month since the completion of the repair work, why has   the SJTA failed to mention a specific date for the opening of Jagamohan for visitors, questioned the Court.

The temple administration sought time till July as several programmes of Lord Jagannath including Rath Yatra are lined up.

Expressing displeasure over the laid-back attitude of the authorities, the court asked the SJTA to clearly mention about the dates in affidavit during the next hearing, failing which the temple chief administrator would have to appear personally in the court.

On Ratna Bhandar inspection, the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) said the report has been submitted to the SJTA in a sealed envelope.

The same was confirmed by the temple administration adding that the report would be tabled in the managing committee for discussion and later presented before the court.

The NK Mohanty Commission, set up by the Orissa High Court, stated that apart from dampness, a crack has developed on the roof of the temple.
