Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today dismissed a habeas corpus petition filed by business tycoon Mahima Mishra alleging illegal detention by police in connection with Paradip Tarinigoda firing and Cuttack Press Chhak bombing cases.

Mishra who is the founder and managing director of Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL), a stevedore giant of the country, was arrested from Thailand for allegedly masterminding murder of Mahendra Swain, a top executive of Hyderabad-based stevedoring company Seaways Shipping and Logistics Limited (SSLL), on October 26, 2016 at Paradip.

Even though the High Court on May 16 had granted Mishra bail in Mahendra Swain murder case, he continued to  remain behind bars as he is yet to get court breather in the other two cases.
