Bhubaneswar: With an aim to facilitate cashless transactions at the major government-run health centres in the State, the Health department today asked all district collectors to ensure installation of debit card readers or swipe machines at the hospitals including Sub Divisional Hospitals (SDHs).

In a letter to the district collectors, Health secretary Arti Ahuja asked the district administration to undertake a tie-up with banks to get the credit/debit card readers at the payments counters of medical colleges, district headquarters hospital and sub divisional hospitals.
