Bhubaneswar: Gold bars worth around Rs 20 lakh were seized by Customs officials from two passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar this evening.

Total 33 gold bars were seized from two passengers who arrived at the city airport from Kuala Lumpur in an AirAsia flight.

Later the Customs officials arrested the two persons who had hid the gold bars in a customised screwdriver handle.

This is for the first time that such a large haul of gold has been seized at the city airport.
