Bolangir: As many as 55 students of Asbag Women's college at Kutrapali today took to the street after they were deprived of appearing in +2 examinations, which is currently going on, due to non-issuance of admit cards.

The guardians also accompanied them in the agitation. The road blockade halted the vehicular communication between Kutrapali and Bolangir. Later, they also ransacked the college.

Alleging that the college has not possessed the required documents for the examination, the girls lamented that their academic future will be severely hit due to the carelessness of the college authorities. "Two years went in vein. Our future was pushed into darkness. If the government fails to give us justice, we would resort to mass self-immolation", a student said.

College staff are absconding, the students alleged.

Meanwhile, School and Mass Education minister Debi Mishra ordered a probe into the incident. The CHSE chairman will investigate and action will be taken on receiving the inquiry report.
