Girl students raise hue & cry over teacher’s misbehaviour

Sundergarh: Girl students of Kendudihi High School under Hemgiri police limits here today brought misbehaviour charges against a teacher, identified as Ranjan Behera.

As per reports, on January 18, the students had gathered to attend the inaugural event of a new building on the school premises when Behera came in an inebriated condition and started clicking photos of the girls. He even misbehaved with the students and passed lewd comments.

The incident came to the fore only on Friday after the girls complained to the school's working committee about the incident. Later, police started investigation after getting direction from the block development officer of Hemgiri.

The teacher is reportedly absconding.
