Puri: Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has filed a complaint against three servitors at Singhadwara police station in connection with the girl climbing the Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balabhadra during Niladri Bije ritual on Sunday night.

The servitors against whom complaint has been filed are Damodar Mahasuara, Jayakrushna Mahasuara and Ipsit Pratihari.

On Tuesday, the SJTA suspended nine servitors from Srimandir service for violating the ban on climbing the chariots and misbehaving with Puri collector Arvind Agarwal and media persons during the Niladri Bije ritual.

Besides, six servitors – Bapi Khuntia, Shankar Palankdhari, Bipin Patri, Papun Mohapatra, Baban Khuntia and Madan Khuntia – who were arrested for misbehaving with newsmen, were sent to judicial custody on Tuesday after the court of the sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) rejected their bail petitions.
