Gangster Tito’s link behind firing on Abdur Rehman’s brother: Cuttack DCP

Cuttack: In a major development, the Commissionerate Police today revealed involvement of notorious criminal Tito behind the firing on Tahir Ali- brother of suspected Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) operative Abdur Rehman on March 29 near Jagatpur.

“Following investigation into the case, we have identified the involvement of 8 accused believed to be members of the Tito gang,” Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh informed.

“Initially six persons were arrested and following interrogation they revealed names of two accused- Kala Babu and Alekh Routray-both of who were nabbed after an encounter in Chauliaganj last night. The accused had attacked Tahir over a tender dispute of around Rs 13 lakh,” informed Singh adding that further probe into the matter is on.

Anyone who is found involved in the incident will be arrested during further investigation, said the DCP.
