Bhubaneswar: A solar eclipse will be visible to some parts of the USA today between 9.15 pm and 11.10 pm as per the Indian Standard Time.

The solar eclipse is occurring in a gap of 90 years and will be visible completely to a place known as Madras, Oregon city in the USA for two to three minutes. However, the eclipse will not be visible in India, said Subhendu Patnaik, deputy director of the Pathani Samant Planetarium.

Due to the solar eclipse, the day will turn dark with the moon passing across the sun’s surface, Patnaik added.
